Another tsunami alert today at Japan
Around local time (Japan time 23:32), a powerful earthquake has hit just off the northeast coast of Japan, sparking a new tsunami alert.
Japan's NHK television on Thursday immediately warned residents in the area to move to higher ground.
NHK said the tsunami could hit the damaged Fukushima nuclear reactor. The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake registered 7.4 magnitude on the Richter scale.
A tsunami warning for a wave of up to 6 feet (two meters) were issued shortly after the 7.4 quake to those residents around coastal areas. Let us all pray that no more innocent lives would have to go, again....
