Words I should have said

Life doesn't comes with a rewind switch

and here i am, standing on my feet

you seemed young, with a smile on your face

The moments, it was there

between the laughters, along the stairs

beneath the trees, at the end of the field

under the stars, i nearly whisper to you

Words just doesn't seem to form easily

when you are around, 

there are times when they nearly slipped,

yet they rolled back from my tongue 

All i can do is guess, and i guess you knew

what you meant to me, and me to you too

but it just doesn't feel right, without uttering to you

and all i can do now is hope, i hope you knew

So many instances, so many slipped me by

so many chances, until there comes goodbye

The moment, it was there

Every job is noble

Maybe, this young girl's job below is not your average dream job, or even side job. But for some, this is at least a legal and decent way, or even, the only way to make a living. If it were you, would you feel ashamed to work as she did while your friends passes you by? Would you still held your head high?

The photos below about a young girl mascot was spreading in internet forums in China, and has been a public discussion. The sender claimed to be a professional photographer, and immortalised the hard work of this girl mascot silently through his lens during the Guangzhou Auto Show last year.

I dedicate this to her (and all those who is working hard to earn a healthy living everyday)

Me

Millions of people passing through.

Some were hasty and swift,

some were strolling slowly by.

But out of so many, do they see me?

I wore a suit not cos i've things to hide,

I wore a suit, with all my might.

There's even a mask for me to wear,

a mask, that's suppose to make everyone stare.

With my full suit on, i'm ready to go,

to welcome everyone, to greet every soul.

I might have to walk, stand, pose and wave,

but it's worth it, when i see the smile on their faces.

Ah, it's been hours and hours now,

the comfy suit is almost like steaming clouds.

I quietly find a deserted space,

took of the mask, and wipe my face.

"Hi, so it's you wearing this,

all these while I thought  its a 'He'",

The cleaner auntie took me by surprise,

I gave a friendly smile, while I looked her in the eye.

"Another 5 minute," I told myself quietly.

Hoping to dry off the sweat, with the soft soothing wind.

Though it's hard and hot and stuffed,

but to earn a living, I know it has to be rough.

A sophisticated lady passed me by,

I gazed up, with a glow in my eye.

When would it be my turn to shine?

Would it be tomorrow? Or is it tonight?

With a deep long breath, I stood up and smile.

A job is waiting, lets make it worthwhile.

I might not be, the car showgirl on the side,

but I promised myself, I'll always keep my head held high!

RAIN

RAIN

A mile away i saw your smile

you waved and asked me politely

if you could stop and stay awhile

And here you are dressed delightfully

we sat and talked about yesterdays and

tomorrows over a cup of fresh brewed tea

But tomorrows seems uncertain and dark

your voice started to shake and tremble

when you recalled the journey we've embarked

It's then when your tears started to fall

you weeped gently

and the whole sky gave it its all

Soft drizzles touched our cheeks 

Black clouds were adorning above

with occasional lightning at the mountain peak

And then large teardrops came gushing down

hitting every objects below equally hard

every where seemed disastrous, every where on the ground

Its like no more sunshine can be found

and together gone the hope for a future

yet nature celebrates with melodious sound

Beyond those blurring eyes you saw

plants are blooming, seeds growing

and frogs are dancing and singing for all

Fishes are swimming gladly, ducks waddling by

It seemed like you came and 

everyone welcomes you with a smile

And so i pat you on the shoulder

gave you a warm  long hug

and pray that tomorrows will be better

And i can assure you that tomorrow

might be uncertain and dark

but there will always be sunshine

after a heavy rain

As we mark Earth Hour, we're reminded of our collective responsibility in caring for the planet. After all, if the environment founders, so do we.

There are many claims out there on how best to live an environmentally-friendly life. You'll be surprised how many of them are misunderstood, or just plain wrong. Some of them, of course, are true. Which is which?

1. Off is not OFF

Claim: Turning devices off is enough.

Fact: Not exactly. Perhaps especially relevant to Earth Hour, the truth is quite a few electrical appliances continue to draw power even after the switch is flipped to the 'off' position. This occurence is (very appropriately) termed 'vampire power'. To be really sure, unplug them from their sockets too.

Tsunami in Japan: Dog won't leave friend behind

I bet even not all humans are willing to treat one another with such loyalty, especially is times of difficulties like this. 

according to yahoo, the dogs were rescued. I quote: "CNN and the UK Telegraph have both reported that the dogs have been rescued since the footage aired, and are both receiving veterinary care; the more seriously wounded dog is at a clinic in the city of Mito, while the protective spaniel-type dog is receiving care at a shelter in the same town."  just to have your chance to get in the convenience shop?

No one here is seen to jump queue, and every one is waiting patiently.

This is truly a respectable nation, with high morality citizens.

And here we are boasting how advance we are, 

cutting queue is everyday drama, seen in malls, cashier counters, and worse, the free milo car.

When would we all learn to at least think of others first before ourselves?

You might say its impossible, but the whole Japan nation can prove you wrong.

ディズニーランドでは、ショップのお菓子なども配給された。ちょっと派手目な女子高生たちが必要以上にたくさんもらってて「何だ？」って一瞬思ったけど、その後その子たちが、避難所の子供たちにお菓子を配っていたところ見て感動。子供連れは動けない状況だったから、本当にありがたい心配りだった

At Tokyo Disneyland:

Tokyo Disneyland was handing out its shops’ food and drinks for free to the stranded people nearby.  I saw a bunch of snobby looking highschool girls walking away with large portions of it and initially though “What the …”  But I later I found out they were taking them to the families with little children at emergency evacuation areas.  Very perceptive of them, and a very kind thing to do indeed.

Are we moving too fast?

Saw this 'beca' on the street of Kuantan few days ago

 Time, 

no one owns it,

and no one seems to have enough of it.

It was just less than few decade back,

when Trishaws roams the road instead of

petrol-fueled machines that disrupt the environment.

People greet each other every morning,

have a cup of coffee at the old coffee house downtown,

and carry on their daily chores with a light smile and a warm heart.

It was those time, 

when children would sip from the coffee cup's plate,

and asked for roti canai with condensed milk to dip with.

It was those time,

when not finishing your food would be a humiliation to the farmers,

and children can find happiness almost anywhere they went.

And then things start moving fast.

Roads have to be paved wider to make way for cars.

People start to get busier than ever.

The greeting stops.

No more over-the-coffee talk.

Daily chores are followed by stress and worries.

Children can have their own cup of drink now.

More if they wished. 

And roti canai are less favoured compared to those fast food chains.

Ordering food and leave it half finished is a symbol of wealth now,

and children are glued with electronics than the world outside.

And when everything is moving so fast,

so fast that some can't even have time to catch a breath,

a blue trishaw with a yellow umbrella passed me by,

and reminded me, "slow down, there's still a long way ahead."

BOUNDARIES

Boundaries

There's boundaries to everything.

A form of wall that you just can't cross over.

There's boundaries, no matter how close you are.

There's boundaries, and some just like to get so near.

Some might tripped over it accidentally,

some choose to trigger it and enjoy watching the aftermath.

Some might not even know of it's existence,

But there are boundaries, that's all to it.

Pushing the limits, some may call it.

Crossing over those boundaries, 

and the consequences may just be unbearable for both.

So, stay on that side of the land, please.

It may seems impolite to chase away trespassers,

especially when anger is steering the whole operation.

So, as polite as one may looks from the outside,

please, if you cross over, you are but

a piece of paper fueling the fire in him/her.
